2010 Chevrolet Aveo

The fuel-efficient Chevrolet Aveo receives powertrain revisions for 2010 that enhance its already great fuel economy. Automatic-equipped Aveo models are rated at 25 city/34 city, while transmission gearing changes to the manual-transmission models enable improved highway fuel economy.

The Aveo benefits in 2010 from a slight increase in horsepower; and a new exterior color is available, while features such as OnStar, XM Satellite Radio, the GM Oil Life Monitoring system and standard 15-inch wheels return.

The Aveo sedan offers smart-looking styling and roomy interior characterized by thoughtful details and refinement. Powering the Aveo is an enhanced version of GM's sophisticated 16-valve DOHC four-cylinder engine. This 1.6L Ecotec engine features variable valve timing for optimal power and fuel efficiency. It is rated at 108 horsepower and 107 lb.-ft. of torque.

A smooth-shifting, five-speed manual transmission is standard and an Aisin four-speed automatic transmission is available. It features a segment-exclusive Hold Control Mode that helps reduce wheel spin and traction loss on slick roads by allowing the driver to select and hold a higher gear, reducing torque to the wheels.

The Aveo sedan includes standard advanced dual-stage frontal airbags and standard seat-mounted side-impact airbags provide additional head and thorax protection.
